March 2, 2006 - Trailblazers Release
MCO Trail Blazers gather for its first volunteer day digging hiking trails near Eagles Nest Community
FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. (March 2, 2006) – On Wednesday, March 1, MCO Properties staff traded in their suits and ties for jeans and shovels, as employees spent the afternoon volunteering in the mountains building trails above Eagles Nest to support the community. “MCO has been investing in improving residential communities in Fountain Hills for many years, and building new mountain trails seemed like a natural way to show our appreciation to Fountain Hills and to punctuate the new pinnacle we have achieved at Eagles Nest with an investment of a little sweat and sore muscles,” said Jeremy Hall, president of MCO Properties. “I really appreciate our staff and agents for generously giving their time to this effort, and for supporting this wonderful community.” MCO Properties staff joined forces with the Fountain Hills Sonoran Conservancy to help build the trails at Eagles Nest. Once complete, the trail system will include three different trails of varying length and degree of difficulty. Each trail leads hikers to various sites offering panorama views of the Verde valley, as well as breathtaking southern and western views. Roy Kinsey, a trail building leader with the Fountain Hills Sonoran Conservancy, was pleased when he received a call from Hall asking if the group could use some help in building the trails. “This is great,” said Kinsey. “Our volunteers who build trails work very hard, and they’re thrilled to have additional volunteers from MCO assisting in developing these trails.” MCO has granted the Conservancy and others access across its property for this kind of work for many years, but this is the first time the company has joined the effort.
